Who we are

Luna’s Apps (lunasapps.ai) is run by Boost Technology Limited, which is responsible for your information. Questions, or anything below you’d like to do: email hello@lunasapps.ai.

What we keep

• Your account: your first name, email address, password (stored scrambled, we can’t read it), the date you joined and when you last signed in, and that you confirmed you’re 18 or over.
• What you put in the apps: your lists, wines, ratings, the people you add to the Wine Pairer, saved menus and photos, and your cars’ dates.
• How you use the apps: how many times you open each app, by day. This shows us what to improve and build next.
• Your email choice: whether you said yes or no to news and offers, the words you agreed to, and when. We keep this as proof of what you chose.
• Invites: if a friend invited you, who invited you.

Why we use it

• To run your account and the apps you’ve asked for (contract).
• To improve Luna and plan new apps, using usage counts and anonymous totals (our legitimate interests).
• To email you news, upgrades and offers, only if you ticked yes (consent). Offers may include ones from partners we choose, but they always come from Luna. We never give partners your name or email.
• Account emails, like password resets and important changes, which everyone gets.

Sharing

We never sell your information. Partners and sponsors may see anonymous totals only, such as “4 in 10 wines picked are red”, never anything that identifies you. These companies help us run the service and only handle your information on our instructions:

• Supabase: our database and sign-in.
• Cloudflare: hosts the website.
• Anthropic: the AI that reads menu and wine-list photos and suggests wines. It doesn’t keep them to train its models.

Some of these providers may handle data outside the UK, under the legal safeguards UK law requires.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete it and everything in it within one month. We keep a record of your email choice for up to two years afterwards, only to prove what you agreed to.

Your choices and rights

• Stop marketing emails at any time: tap Unsubscribe in any email, or open Email preferences at the bottom of the Luna’s Apps home screen.
• You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@lunasapps.ai; we’ll reply within one month.
• If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Your phone stores only what’s needed to keep you signed in and remember your settings.

Over-18s only

Luna’s Apps is for people aged 18 and over, because the Wine Pairer suggests alcoholic drinks.
